I'll watch it again, but from what I remember, Austin's movement and jab were making Wlad go out of his element and be more aggressive than usual. It seemed Austin was far more relaxed than Wlad and I thought the fight was for the most part on even terms...

However, Wlad was landing that left hook far too easily, and you could see that at some point Austin was going to get hurt or knocked out by that punch.

Wlad didn't throw the right hand because with Austin's style, he was likely worried about being countered.

It was a smart strategy and he and his team obviously saw holes in Austin's defense and took advantage of them.

But I will say that Austin's jab, style and movement could potentially cause problems with Wlad if it was done by someone with more speed, better movement, more power, and with the capability to avoid that left hook.

Honestly, the main punch I'm worried about for Haye is Wlad's left hook.

But, I'll watch that fight again later on today...and get back to you.

Ehhh ... It's not unusual for Wlad to wait to throw the right hand until the second round. It had nothing to do with Ray being this and that.

Don't know what you are talking about. Ray outboxing Wlad?

What you are basically saying is that someone a lot better than Ray might have done this or that. OK ... Ehh wait ...

Maybe we should just agree to disagree. I have seen the fight numerous times, and what I saw is very far from what you saw.

Haye can't let WALDO get comfortable & allow him to do his usual "jab, jab, grab" routine to control the pace, he needs to ferociously fight him like he stole something.

If it was up to me, i would tell him to lunge in with big headhunting bombs from the opening bell & go for the early blitzkreig. He should watch Tyson-Bruno II & take notes. WALDO will clinch at any opportunity like Bruno did, but the trick is to lunge in with those fast bombs, & when he's hurt, go for a brutal kill with a vicious combination.

i would swarm him ala corrie sanders style. u cant box wlad, impossible, he wont win that way. wlad's style is built to protect his soft chin, u gotta exploit his weakness
