Hopkins stopped Glen Johnson and Oscar De La Hoya. Leonard stopped Thomas Hearns and Roberto Duran. And Roy Jones stopped Vinny Pazienza and Montell Griffin.

When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to find that a 3 month old question of mine had been bumped! I had forgotten all about it, but you're right, hh... there's some unfinished business here. We got all the obvious answers, but I was of course looking for the tricky one: the non-champ who belongs on this list. Another hint: He was a feared puncher in his time. He did get a title shot - but failed to dent the very sound chin of the champ he was up against.
Florentino Hernandez stopped Paddy DeMarco, former lightweight champ, in '59, and stopped Jose Torres, future Light Heavyweight champ, in '63.
