He doesn't have a big fanbase, he's just popular because he's cocky.

This Diaz dude looks really big in there. Koki looks undersized for 118, wonder why did he skip 115.

    Round 1

Diaz follows, not in a hurry, jabbing high. Kameda pops his right jab at the taller man, keeping his distance while circling. Kameda launches a high lead left while still sliding in a compass arc around the Nicaraguan. Kameda lands a power punch and two of the commentators ejaculate into their mics! Diaz just keeps circling and lands a few long sniping body shots of his own. Kameda blocks a right hand down the middle by clasping his gloves together over it. Kameda jabs and hooks low and catches Diaz a bit before he squirms off the ropes.

    10-9 Kameda

    1. I read "Kameda is currently one of the most popular boxers in the world based on TV ratings. His fights draw over 50% of Japanese homes."

    2. I wondered that too. It would've sounded great if he snatched a title there too-four divisions. Think he could go back down? Anybody know what his in the ring weights have been?

I know the result of the Nakamura fight, but I'll hold off saying what it was in case highlights are shown after Kameda's fight.

    Round 2

Diaz goes to the BUDI BUDI BUDI. Diaz is now being first, getting in Kameda's face and flicking shots out of his high guard. Kameda keeps his gloves pinned firmly to his face, and drives Diaz back with his own BUDI BUDI shots. Big 1-2 by Kameda as Diaz is backing straight up. Diaz throws a short-arc, high lead uppercut coming forward. Diaz is jabbing high and throwing rights to the body. The southpaw champion is shelling up and trying to pick off the jabs and squeeze his elbows together in front of his ribs to stop the rights. Kameda now lands to the BUDI BUDI BUDI himself.

    19 each.

When Koki comes forward Diaz doesn't have too much on the offensive, neither on the defensive. Koki should cut him down and open up. 2-0 Kameda so far.

    Round 3

Diaz walks forward, holding his arms out loosely. Diaz looks to set up a right hand behind his jab but finds Kameda fluidly sashaying around. A pair of hard lead lefts up top by Kameda, and then he works his right to the BUDI BUDI. Kameda seems to take half of every round to wake up and get comfortable and then remains aggressive. Kameda is lining up big lefts while circling that way. Pair to the BUDI by Kameda. Diaz is ineffective trying to fix his laser jab on Kameda, unable to snap it out to hit paydirt before Kameda has taken a lateral step. Kameda drives Diaz to the ropes with a hard combo to the body and seems to have him hurt and scrambling. The referee pauses the action. ?? Mouthpiece out? It was near the end of the round anyway, but there was no audible bell. Diaz looks confused. I guess we're going to commercial.

    29-28 Kameda

Hm. Did just Koki steal the round? About evened up connects, not easy to score.
