Round 4

Diaz is landing rights and circling left. Kameda is surging forward with left hand leads and catches him a few times to stir everybody up. Diaz is hunching himself up and protecting his face as Kameda shifts gears and rolls inside with guns blazing. Kameda landing BUDI BUDI BUDI. Diaz is landing his own shots, nice uppercuts and overhands punishing Kameda for rushing in.

Round 5

Kameda lands a hard upward thrust left to the face, backing Diaz up. They trade budi budi shots. Diaz seems to be tiring and leans into Kameda, giving up his height to try and take a break. Kameda is charging in with combos but finding Diaz doubling himself over and leaving only shoulder and back as targets. Kameda tries to stretch the hedgehog out by hammering away up close. Nice left hand to the body by Kameda. Diaz flurries low in answer while backing up. Diaz throws a slow left hook and hits glove. Diaz stumbles backward across the ring. Kameda chases and plants a left hand on his face. Diaz navigates his way out of a corner and keeps trying to defend. Kameda is on the rise!

Round 6

Kameda is crashing overhand lefts home and quickening his pace every couple of steps as Diaz peels away. Kameda is getting hit with body shots while coming forward and landing his own, but not taking much damage upstairs as he keeps his hands up when not throwing and returns them to position high. Diaz tries to jab him from long range, and Kameda just comes crashing inside with his hard lefts to the ribs. Kameda has him backing up and dropping his hands as he pelts him with body shots. Diaz on the ropes!! Kameda (and the crowd, and commentators) seem to smell blood. Diaz escapes the round.

Round 7

They take a look at Diaz's face, which is cut and puffed. He is cleared to continue, but doesn't look particularly enthused by that news.

Kameda soars in behind his right jab, up on his toes as with bent knee and high guard like a small Asian bald southpaw Tyson. Lefts landing. A BIG one lands and snaps Diaz's head around. Diaz is trying to uppercut the champion to hold him off. Kameda stays low and upjabs with his right, trying to dig hard lefts to the body. Diaz is clapping down with his right across the back of Kameda's head.
