Round 11 Kameda comes out for some damage control, looking to assert himself with the left hand. Kameda is scoring with a high rate of accuracy but unable to hold the fort, as Sun weathers and punches through Kameda's attacks, eventually forcing the champion to succumb and get a move on. Sun ends the round strong, following Kameda and landing right hands. Both look tired, guards faltering. 10-9 Sun 104-104
Sorry, didn't mean to spoil. Won't post the scorecards until you got it... It's taking them quite a while to figure them out, though.
Round 12 They move together in center ring and Kameda begins to go for the body. Sun covers up and stands in with Kameda. Both are throwing what they can muster with their remaining energy. Kameda is busier, and that will probably make the difference in spite of a dearth of clean blows. Sun didn't have another three minutes' offense left in him. 10-9 Kameda 114-113 Kameda
atsch I thought it was just me who missed it. Just went to commercials when they were starting to read it, and then after the commercials there was Kameda posing a bit, but not looking happy.
As close as close gets. ...and with all due respect to Sun, that is embarrassing. I mean, FFS, the Hurricane has only six career knockouts and has fought nothing but regional grade flyweights...yet nearly relieved the judges of duty. :!: This is hardly the first embarrassing night for Kameda, either. Most of the defenses in his WBA 118lb reign have been life and death struggles, with a couple being outright gift decisions...and none of the challengers were really top 5-10 bantams.
