Source: Fightnews Ex-WBA 108-pound champ Koki Kameda (19-0, 13 KOs), 113.25, decked an easy tune-up bout prior to his WBC shot against compatriot Daisuke Naito in November, as he floored miserably overmatched Mexican Humberto Pool (15-9-3, 9 KOs), 113.25, three times to score a KO win at 2:29 of the fifth round on Saturday afternoon in Tokyo, Japan. Pool suffered his sixth defeat in last seven bouts, following a third-round KO loss to Brahim Asloum in his comeback go in France this April. It is a pity that many mediocre Mexicans recently came here only to be Japanese prospectsÂ’ victims in overmatched games. Probably Kameda used Pool as his safe stepping stone before his already slated title crack at Naito. Promoter: Kameda Promotions.
Koki Kameda has some good skills. I'd like to see him training in the US, he could be the next great Asian star with Nonito after Pacman retires.
Karaoke. In some parts of Asia it is compulsory. In fact, boxing matches are illegal, so they have to be relabeled as "battle karaoke".
Looking forward to his fight with Naito. Daisuke is a very good fighter...Twas very underrated because of his bad loss early in his career against Pong..but has since proven he is no mug. Unorthodox style but it works for him..and he is a very strong little man. Kameda has the speed and style to give him the fits though...And I have an inkling Naito is on the slide..His last few fights he hasnt looked that good. Koki Kameda
