While training for a heavyweight bout against shane camaron, Davis suffered an injury while on a training run in June of 2007, jumping over Auckland's Greenhithe bridge to avoid a car. Davis will be forced to spend the next month in New Zealand after being hospitalized with a broken back in two places . After 11 hours of surgery, Davis is recovering, although his boxing future is in doubt i saw this ages ago but i nev er knew how seriuos (sp?) it was man he was so fun to watch chinny small fast powerful hitter i always wanted him to fight couser...just becuase both claim to be his brother ...shame i hope he gets better and gets back on top.
Very sad story...Davis was an entertaining fighter who always left it in the ring. I hope he makes a quick recovery
