I'm not sure if fans have suddenly started believing these guys, or they just enjoy the false rumours. You know, a lot of Mayweathers people make regular statements that Pacquiao takes steroids. There comes a point, where you have to start thinking that these guys just say stuff to protect their own positions.......... All this "Mayweather $100 million/50 million" stuff is just B/S to create hype for Pacquiao and Mosely. I will quote to you, an article, from August 2010. And to counter any claims that it's a biased article, I will use Michael Marleys version of events. You know, a guy biased towards Pacquiao! Read. "I'm hearing from a solid source close to Don King that the soon to be 79 year old promoter's Charm Offensive campaign as to undefeated superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. has paid off. Mayweather himself has been tossing around a $100 million figure as to his price tag to cut a deal on paper with King. Now it looks King's romancing of Mayweather, first in South Florida and this weekend in the Missouri city, has achieved the legendary King's objective. No word on how the $100 million will be delivered to Mayweather but, based on the $22 million he earned for a May 1 victory over Sugar Shane Mosley, you can figure L'il Floyd gets a big first payment of about $25 million. I am also informed the $25 million per is a guaranteed figure with possible upside to be added for a blockbuster like Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao." You know, it's a very old rumour, that Arum has dug up, and totally spun,to help himself out. Mayweather did want $100 million. But that was a promotional deal with Don King. Not a fight purse. The 7 second video Eli Seckbach posted, with Roger Mayweather, was only 7 seconds long for a reason. He'd had to edit out 30 seconds of it, to get rid of all the Don King references, as it was in fact in response to this rumour. Not Bob Arums claims. You know, know when you've been played
All promoters are liars . . . of course to protect their interest. :yep But it's worst when the fighter himself is a liar . . . Read this from Floyd . . . This content is protected :happy :happy :happy
The #1 guy can't fight if he has to take blood test. So he fought the #2 guy. He isn't lying. Better than fighting the unranked guys Pacquiao has fought.
That's pretty much true. He offered the same deal to Mosely as he did Pacquiao. Mosely just accepted it.
Of course that's technically true. He offered the deal to Pacquiao. He didn't want it. He offered a worse deal to Mosely. He did want it. That's why the fight happened. Mosely wanted it a heck of a lot more
