Cotto is a guaranteed box office hit at MSG in New York.Trouble is -going against Pac he will get killed at the PPV box office.Packed house but no PPV revenues.
Arum strikes again-unless they do a split site with Mayweather as the co headliner from another venue.

who can cotto fight other than pac that would warrant a ppv?

what i think is that cotto's team may have asked 12/1 as a pre-condition in agreeing to fight at 150. it seems like there's an ongoing negotiation.

I think this move is coming from two directions. First, this is a way of putting as much pressure as possible to make a Pac-Cotto fight. Cotto will either have to fight Pac, move his date, or see his ppv numbers take a hit. I guess Cotto could face Mayweather or Alvarez on that date and see what happens but I don't think those fights happen on that date. He could also try to get his fight on regular Showtime but he probably makes a lot more money off a ppv fight.

Second, I see this as Pac/Arum trying to crush the competition. Nov 10 and Dec 1 is only three weeks apart and ppv's on both those dates will be in competition. Pac's going to do bigger numbers but a Cotto ppv three weeks later will effect Pac's numbers. So Pac takes Cotto's date knowing Cotto probably moves altogether and their numbers don't take a hit.

I think Cotto should call his bluff and go ahead with his fight. Surely Pac would take a big hit against his ppv numbers.

Pac can ill afford to have another lousy ppv fight. Especially since he will almost certainly have another poor performance in the ring. He's done. :yep

Im unsure what is happening behind the scenes but its obvious Pac is very unhappy with his guarantee.

I personally cant see how he can improve this without making some kind of concession?

If he is so worried about his guaranteed purse has Bob Arum suggested that he maybe fight Floyd? $40 Million isn't bad right? :)

If not, the only other option is to fight Cotto at 154Lbs and since his fans say he beats Cotto at any weight then accepting 154Lbs shouldnt be an issue right?

Everything posted here. As a Cotto fan, I would love to see a healthy, 150 pound plus Cotto take a shot at revenge.
