This kind of news is for Team JMM to lower down the demands for the 4th fight.

    - $25 million guaranteed purse?

    - 4th fight be held in Mexico?

BUt I digress, the original point here is that no matter who they choose....its not ducking the other guy they didnt choose.

You're defending Pac's side as a business standpoint only now though; how does it not constitute a duck? Even if they managed to make the fight for next November, that doesn't take away that currently it's a duck for May 5th.

Why is that? Well just like in your example, if EITHER Floyd or Pac were to lose to Marquez or Sergio, then the superfight is torpedoed for November. It's the same as Floyd taking on Margarito today, now that he's all busted up, but it doesn't erase the duck from years back.

    Ill be back later

I think it all depends on what your definiton of "duck" is. To me its a duck if you have obviously no intention of fighting the other guy. Its my opinion that Pac intends to fight both JMM and Floyd because there is a public demand for both. So is he "ducking" if he chooses one first over the other? Either way, under your guidelines, he'll be ducking somebody.

Here's an example of a duck to me....if Pac retires immediately after fighting JMM while the public demand for a Floyd fight is still high...then thats a duck.

So if Floyd happens to lose to Martinez, and the public no longer demands it because Floyd lost his greatest commodity, his "0", so Arum says "we don't need to fight you anymore" or something along those lines, what do you call that?

First of all, I seriously doubt that Floyd's stock would go down if he lost to Martinez. I guess it really depends on how he loses. Sergio is afterall a bonafide middleweight....a p4per at that. Thats the problem w/ Floyd...its all about his "0". Personally I think its ok to lose, its HOW you lose that matters more and how you come back from it that matters most. Leonard, Ali...thats how they reached legendary status.

But in your scenario, the publc no longer demands it....to me that must mean Floyd just got punked by Sergio. Is it a duck if Pac says **** u scrub? Juan Diaz called out Pac several times but after the Hoya fight why would Pac bother? Was that a duck? My answer is no its not a duck, why would it be if no one cares for it? Again it comes back to this whole public demand. If your scenario happens then I would say that was a terrible business decision to fight JMM first, but under no cricumstances was pac ducking Floyd.

Koncz is a major ass kiss to bob arum. That is his backup plan if pac throws him out, he can try for some overpaid job working with arum.

floyd should fight Pac first at 147. then martinez at 154 or 160.

If floyd moves up and beats sergio first and moves back down and beats pac, *******s will just say floyd is so much bigger blah blah blah

I would say floyd should face khan at 147 too before moving up but sergio is getting old and he might get upset or have another off performance so floyd should fight him asap as the sooner the better for his legacy

From what I've read Pac's fans want the fourth fight.. EVERYONE else I've seen has said **** the fourth fight, take on Floyd after you've been talking all that **** about he's scared and you've agreed to everything. So I don't believe both are in high demand personally... The JMM fight is in demand, but nowhere near as high demand as the Floyd fight.

Risk vs reward like you said, but don't try to spin it as Pac's trying to please the fans for the decision to fight JMM. He's taking JMM first because they see him winning that fight and continuing his cash cow status... He gets outclassed by Floyd, and his stock drops. IMO. :thumbsup
