I'd say that while Castaño has quite a bit more power than Bellamy, he doesn't have better timing or accuracy. Teixeira was able to stand tall and lean back to survey most of Castaño's shots and once anticipated could then swerve or block a good deal of them. Probably the only reason we didn't see Brazilian glass shatter. Of course that left the door open for a wide points victory for the Argentinian basically on sheer unopposed aggression, but he didn't find the mark easily with any serious digs. He landed almost 400 punches but had to chuck well over a thousand in order to do so.
Throwing over a thousand and landing 400 punches equates to a landing percentage in the 30% range upwards to 40%. Pretty damn good. Hopefully Castano can figure a way to get inside of Charlo's reach advantage. Otherwise it results in a boring points victory for Charlo, or late round (t)ko from punch accumulation.
Could it be the way the guy fought rather than the fact he is short? I doubt being short is somehow the key to beating Charlo - other things would be more important, no?
I’ve only seen Castaño fight & Bully texaria. not sure if he can repeat that performance against a stronger Mell charlo. Who Has a crisper Jab & better 1,2 Then then the awkward & gangly texeria. should be fun to watch for all the marbles non the less.
