Every time I see a Mexican fighter dramatically improve nowadays, my mind automatically wanders off to beef for some reason.
I think his conditioning was great, but a lot of the combinations were hitting Rosado's gloves as much as actually being clean effective shots. He still needs to work on defence a bit more as he was getting timed and hit clean a bit too much. But the kid is still only 25, and he is definitely improving - but I didn't see it as such a massive dramatic improvement. Rosado is a great warrior, but he is not elite, and doesn't hit quite hard enough @160 to maybe expose some of Munguia's flaws. But the kid has great volume, stamina and can take a good shot, he will be a hard night for anyone, and should keep getting better. I'd like to see maybe a bit more guile in his offense - there's not much in the way of feints as yet - mixing some of that in might help his combination work be more effective, and give the opponent more to consider.
Thats what happens when you learn from an ATG like Erik Morales. And hes only going to get better. Bring on GGG.
Yes It's quite obvious as well, dude didn't stop or get tired at all especially after being pressured
Nah no dramatic improvements seen, Rosado hardly jabbed authoritatively and was waiting for the perfect counter the whole fight, that gave Munguia ample chance to unload combos.
I guess if you are a wild swinging oaf who blocks right hands with your face, any few little improvements will necessarily result in dramatic improvement overall. It's like the distance between 0 and 1 .
James Toney had a very dramatic improvement. He basically just outgutted Nunn and even got a bit of a lucky punch. A few fights later and he was a defensive master. Fury also comes to mind. He went from brawler to scientific boxer to ambidextrous scientific boxer to someone who can properly fight on the inside. He has more styles than I have socks.
I have to admit it crossed my mind. But he's always had conditioning. Mexican beef can't teach you technique, which is where he's improving.
