I had Bivol beating Canelo because he was very underrated. Most people (including those deep in the fight game) had Canelo as the CLEAR favorite. You're obviously using hindsight to your benefit for this discussion.
Some people were exposed as not having followed Bivol's career for sure, others were just wrong, but a big proportion of predictions were along the lines of "Canelo would never be allowed to lose so he must either see something or he's going to have such stacked judging all he has to do is survive." Neither was true! The score was a shame, but actually having the right guy win was a pretty big step in the right direction. Why not just allow that Canelo showed some amount, if only a pinch, of admirable ambition? Keep in mind everything that was said during his contact dispute about DAZN backing up dumptrucks full of money for him to fight Oscar De La Hoya and MMA guys, instead he's out there taking extreme punishment from a top notch Russian technician 95% of his fans have never heard of because that's the actual challenge for him.
I know Plant didn't and Callum per say didn't but he never TRIED to win and gave a huge non effort. Saunders didn't but he talked too much about how you would have to KILL him to make him stop and how he would NEVER quit in the corner and BAM karma came back and bit him.
You think Canelo and his team doesn't actively cherrypick? Are you serious? Every high level cash cow would be doing this to protect the investment. Not hard to understand. And yes it was an obvious cherrypick gone wrong. People wrongly thought Bivol looked poor in his last two outings. That's the only reason why he was chosen and Hearn is on camera saying this
Teddy Atlas explain it real well. All three judges gave Canelo the first 4 rounds and that wasn't true, then Bivol won the next 4, although Bivol actually, at the very least won 2 of the first 4 rounds, which would put Bivol up 6-2 after 8 rounds. The judges gave Canelo round 9, which actually put Canelo ahead by one after 9 rounds, which was extremely misleading, essentially putting Canelo ahead in a fight that Bivol was leading and it wasn't even close. If Canelo made the last three rounds close, the judges would have given to Canelo instead of a draw or a close loss for Canelo. The judges couldn't give the last 3 rounds to Canelo because the were too one sided. The judges were prepared to robb Bivol but they couldn't without it being too obvious.
LOL yes lets laugh at me saying Canelo's fights were fixed... But you're the one who believes the moon is 3D projection on a 2D surface lmao
I don't think you really needed to explain it, because anyone with half a brain knows what's up. It's just a case of keeping up the denial.
Is that why you ran away from the discussion on the topic a while back? Your "arguments" resemble Swiss cheese
I don't discuss it with you the same way I dont walk outside and challenge the pigeons in my backyard to chess. You were seriously questioning if the security video of a kid with underwear on his head doing a chicken dance as he walks away from his house was genuine alien footage. You have a problem connecting dots. But that's OK. I'm not judging good sir. Just don't care to discuss something so improvable as fight fixing with someone who disregards logic. Agree to disagree. Cheers.
Good one, standard unaware patronising post. Facts are you couldn't counter my clearly valid points (that used logic, something you like to think you have) , therefore if there's anything mentally lacking, it's on you. It's actually hilarious you think the Kovalev fight was real, really puts into perspective your simplistic understanding/view of boxing.
