Kongo has more wins than anyother current UFC fighter, so why no title shot ever?

Anyone else find this funny, made me look up Kongo's record and makes you wonder how he has been there so long and has the only big names on it are Mir, green Cain and old Cro Cop. Oh also Prime Al Turk and Hardonk.

You forgot Dan Evenson, a guy who is 0-2 in the UFC and hasnt made it out of the 1st round in either

Kongo is good enough to separate the contenders from the pretenders, but always loses when he is a couple fights away from justifying a title shot.

Kongo beat Cro Cop, but lost to Herring. Kongo went on a 3 fight win streak after losing to Herring, but then dropped two in a row against Cain and Mir. Kongo is 3-0-1 in his last 4, so I believe he'll get a name fighter soon. If he can get a win over maybe Carwin, Mir, Velasquez, or the Lesnar/Overeem loser; he would probably be in line for a shot. My guess is he will lose to one of those guys, and the winner will be a fight or so away from a title shot.

Kongo hasn't had a title shot because he isn't good enough. He is a good gatekeeper to the top ten and he and Roy Nelson will be in that slot for a few years yet probably. Dana would want him as a challenger if he was goOd enough because the guy has a physique like a cartoon character which would be marketable in an Overeem like way, bug he's not as good as Overeem. He's the guy you beat to get to an eliminator.

The hw ladder in the UFC is simple, beat Struve to get into the top 20, beat Kongo to get into the top 10, beat Beltran to keep your job.

I am not a fan of kongo, but you can never accuse of him surrenduring ever! Or enilighten me if he has.

    Hes a tough mofo.

Although I dont think he can bet most if any of the top guys, he deserves at least a step up in comp in his next fight or two. Then we can judge if he deserves a shot or not.

Kongo has all but proved that he's never going to anything more than a glorified gate keeper

He'll never fight for the title unless he evolves his game , which is very very doubtfull at this stage of his career

Harsh words for a talented man , but true

Yeah should be a good scrap if Hunt can keep the fight standing.
