Yeah. Deck is stacked against him here(short notice, prime young dog with hunger etc.) But it's still another opportunity, another shot at redemption. One that's alluded him since coming up short against Lee. He was smart to take it. He has nothing to lose at this point.... Charlo has a lot to lose and Korobov with his pedigree and experience will be a high risk task. If he puts everything together on fight night he could very well shock the world.
I think time has passed him. If this was several years ago he might have had a chance. The inactivity, short notice, average power, and being an older slower fighter doesn't look good at all for Korobov going into this match up.
Odds moved to +1000, money must be coming in on Charlo. Charlo has one good scalp on his record (Trout), perhaps his only elite win. He hasn't faced the same competition as Jacobs, GGG, or Canelo and he is being priced like he has. I'm not saying Korobov pulls off the victory but it'll be his next best opponent next to Trout (whom he didn't exactly blow out of there). There is no reason to believe Charlo should be this big of a favorite IMO.
Korobov is an old, stiff, inactive fighter without a great punch. That's why the odds are what they are. He's probably going to get blasted.
Korobov is shot and was never that good, but charlo is a joke , both of them are. Anyway at this time charlo takes it
It’ll be like that Simpsons episode when Homer’s Christmas present was Santa’s Little Helper. Dwyer will be looking for stray dogs and stray cats on Christmas Eve when Charlo ruins the Dwyer Family Christmas.
Genuinely hate to say I told you so - but man, I knew this **** was gonna happen tonight. Korobov robbed, and the commentary just completely devoid of any sense of reality.
