Weren't they scheduled to fight after the Andy Lee loss? At least give him the shot.. to prove or disprove the Lee fight wasn't a fluke.. GGG beat Korobov in the ams so he shouldn't be afraid..
Too bad Eubank punked out of the WBA tournament. He could've try to make his way to mando spot and we would've found out who's serious about wanting the fight and who's not.
Why would you care what fans claim when they have no idea what they're talking about. it's so bad they still think ward sent a contract to ggg and ggg said they had to fight at 164, that's a Internet rumor that's been used to death. Fighters do not want to fight ggg, ward was willing to fight ggg but this was when ward was still fighting through court bs, team ggg was interested too. Ward pulled the plugly, fact. Ggg team only wanted ward to have a couple fights building his name back up while ggg was completing his main MW goals of defense record while collecting the last couple belts . that would have been best for all, GGG knew he had to build up to 165/66 for ward where he could fight froch and Chavez at 160 and crushed them at 168 division . If he built up to fight ward that would've been the end of his MW run which would had left him short of his main goals. Ward took the much safer career route. taking on Kovalev , to the casual and uninformed fan seemed like a bigger deal, taking on the champions at 175 instead of fighting the much smaller MW champ. Risk/reward, ward knew he could explain losing to the "bigger" kovalev and it's much less damaging than losing to the much smaller ggg. Fact is, Kovalev was the far less risky opponent. ggg is way more relentless, more skilled, more power just flat out far better than Kovalev . not to mention he'd never run out of gas like Kovalev dI'd. Now wards willing to fight ggg at 175, lmfao.. Ward knows how small ggg is, small MW, ****ing tiny maybe smallest ever lhw. and ggg will eventually make it to 175 for ward and if they meetc, GGG will annihilate ward, tko within 8.. Next 2 years will prove all, we already saw ward and Kovalev are pretty much even match ups, I know ggg is levels above them, just a true once in forever fighter
That's fine if GGG comes out and says the risk ain't worth the reward but don't say I'll fight anyone from 154-168 then say okay Ward for you I'll have to change that statement. Ward is a diva in negotiations I imagine but so is GGG. GGG would win if he's able to dominate Ward the thing with Ward is he steals rounds if the other person doesn't do enough so if GGG is throwing then it's a pickem fight for me.
I do think he sent a offer to GGG, his willingness to fight Kovalev to me proves he ain't scared off GGG. Did the offer satisfy GGG and his people maybe, maybe not I don't know but I think something was sent or else they would put up the email as they have no problem in 'exposing' Ward otherwise.
Yeah beating lee should be his priority then one more win maybe a Lemieux, Stevens or derevyachenko if he can pull that off his back in the picture.
YDKSAB. It does exist. The winner of Blanco/N'Dam(who took CEJ's place) will be the next WBA mandatory for the WBA Super champ.
God I don't wanna see N'dam in there with GGG, he goes down in every fight, imagine what's gunna happen if GGG catches him.
GGG would probably finish him in the first half of the fight, but Blanco is no push over. He can beat N'dam and if him vs CEJ got made, he'd have a fair chance in that fight too.
Why would he want to become WBA mandatory? GGG pays pennies to mando's.. Eubank is bigger than that. He brings massive Sky Box Office money. That a voluntary fight with a good deal being cut for both fighters. Just like the Brook fight.
Kovalev is a more dangerous fight that GGG. There's no way you can convince me otherwise or else GGG should have made his way up to 175 and bash Kovalevs face in then he would of held 6 belts and would be considerined p4p no.1 and an atg instantly.
Because that's the way to prove you're serious about chasing the champ, just like GGG did with Martinez/Cotto. Mandatory fight could easily happen in UK with the Sky Box office money just like the WBA mandatory fight between Wlad and Povetkin happened in Russia. Eubank didn't want to try to become the mandatory because he didn't want to risk losing and/or looking bad against a 12 fight novice. He's content with cleaning out the domestic scene while trying to convince people that the champ is ducking him.
