Brook was the bigger draw. Hearn had to deliver Brook a contractual PPV... They were paying Vargas way too much to come over and it wasn't possible to do the Eubank vs GGG PPV in the same month.
Brook ended up getting Golovkin and becoming anther guy to take a loss for big money that comes with a built -in excuse for getting stopped.

 

Yep. Andy Lee is a lot more accomplished than him and he's trying to make a fight with Heiland to get a title shot instead of relying on his daddy's name value while fighting a bunch of no hopers with most padded records.

 

If you're gonna spread bull**** around, get out of the thread. There was a poll on Froch's Facebook page in 2014 for his next opponent. The three choices were Degale, Chavez Jr and Golovkin. Golovkin won the poll, but Froch pursued a fight against Chavez claiming fighting in Vegas was his dream. I don't want to get the timeline mixed up but either Chavez was injured or was pursuing a fight with Golovkin and Froch ended up retiring.

The Barker thing was in 2013, when he won the IBF belt against Geale. He wanted to fight Barker for a belt, for free. What's wrong with that ? Barker decided to fight Sturm instead.

You lose credibility by talking about Eubank. His been clamouring for a fight against GGG for 2 years now, he had his chance and didn't take it. Golovkin's team having no interest in him after the Brook fight indicate they have better things in mind than going back in negociation with someone who didn't want to sign in the first place.

Nah , Brook was the bigger draw. He already topped Sky PPV shows and was a champion. Eubank never did and still isn't a champ.

Eubank only really became that familiar to casuals when he was linked with the GGG fight and it was plastered all over Sky Sports. I'd have said Brook was still the bigger draw personally.

 

Casuals don't own Boxnation though as a rule and it wasn't really promoted outside of it. He is much more known now though but a lot of that is also down to his poxy Twitter account. Maybe I'm being bias because I hate the guy but I am yet to see anything to suggest he'd shift more tickets than Brook would

 

The sad part is Korobov would actually be GGGs best win.

Yeah and its crazy to suggest Eubank is a bigger draw. Hearn gave Brook the Glovkin fight because he was going to sell more PPV's , because he was the bigger name amongst the casuals.
Brook has being headlining Sky cards for years and years. He headlined a PPV against Frankie Gavin ffs. Eubank has never in his life headlined a Sky card never mind a Sky PPV. Guys who box on Channel 5 are not bigger draws than Matchrooms biggest name's.
Eubank is still a big name , but he's not as established as Brook.
