George groves fought on channel 5 and his a bigger draw than some of matchroom biggest names, that was a joke of a ppv.
They may of enhanced it but Groves gave a good fight and made the build up very interesting and Brook name was made known to the casual off the GGG fight. I don't dislike Brook btw nor do I like Eubank much other than his fights are entertaining but I'm calling it as I see it.
FFS this is 2016. Google is your friend. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2014/08/golovkin-ahead-of-chavez-jr-in-froch-facebook-poll/
I know they didn't do a purse bid for that fight. You said the mando only gets 25% of the purse. Like I said, that percentage is only set in stone for a purse bid. And a purse bid only comes when the champ and mando cannot reach an agreement.
Isn't Barker the same dude who got blitz by Martinez? that isn't a big fight also K2 says a lot of stuff but when put in position to back it up they never do. Froch & Cotto are both old ass fighters that have been talking about retirement for years, for Cotto dude said if the biggest fight for him was GGG he's take it but GG wasn't a big fight and was unwilling to compromise at any point to try and make the Cotto fight don't see how Cotto is called a duck. Froch I remember when the poll was put up the options were a big money Vegas fight or retirement, Golovkin wasn't big money and wouldn't fight in Vegas we now know GG also wanted a catchweight under 168 like he wanted from Ward. A big fight to you guys is guys pushing 40 who've been talking about retirement for years, Ward-GG is a big fight wanted a catchweight, Jacobs isn't a great opponent but is better then what we've had from GG so far, get complaints about given the dude 1mil, Canelo is a big fight offered 10mil yet that isn't enough , Lara been calling him out for years, along with guys like Degale,Remariez, Jack, get completely ignored. etc.... the dude constantly finds way out of big fights or better yet good fights. Golovkin is all talk I've seen Froch, Cotto, Ward, Canelo, Jacobs if he settled for 25%, Lara etc....all do something to make a quality fight whether it be money or weight or something, Golovkin has never made any real move to try and make a good fight.
Bla bla bla. Golovkin became the WBC ''interim'' champ by beating Rubio and was in a mandatory spot for Cotto and then Canelo. If they had decided to fight him, GGG would've had no leverage against them as he was the mandatory. No leverage, no power in negociations, none at all. Cotto decided to fight Canelo for a bigger paycheck, that's fine. Canelo fought for the title, ignored Golovkin for Khan, and then vacated the belt and now his team claims Golovkin wants too much money.
