Twice last night, Lee shook Korobov hard with the R hook.

The first time, Lee was too timid to recognize that he had rocked Koro, but the second time, he had time to recognize the chance and utilized his ring smarts to end it before Koro could recover.

Now.....I had Lee down 4-1 going into the 6th, and Koro could have taken the 10-8 rd and still been ahead.

But he refuse to go down, and the ref had to make the determination to stop it.
In the AMs, the ref would have intiated a standing 8 ct, and Koro would have recovered and went back to fighting outside.

Hopefully he learns from this, and next time he's buzzed like that, he can take the knee when the charge comes, or tie up. He did neither and it was a huge setback.

Props to Andy Lee for finally getting a legitimate World Title. He's had tough luck in his title opportunities, but he finally found that type that he could exploit and beat. :happy

    Good fight cut short unnecessarily.
And yes I'm pretty sure if he took the knee he could have recovered and came back at Lee.

    Oh well thems the rules.

Korobov don't really push the action much.

Korobov was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage so it doesn't count as a "true" loss. We need a 'Korobov vs Lee: The Facts' thread.

Early stop but he never protested seemed hurt

Ref could have let it go another 10

Korborov looks like this big muscular guy whose afraid to throw punches

I thought too Korobov made a huge mistake in refusing to take a knee. He's obviously chinny, so it's all the more surprising he didn't know what to do when hurt.

And yes, he was way too cautious and didn't put enough pressure on Lee.

Its very much a TRUE loss. Korobov couldn't defend himself. The ref stopped it. TKO 6. What's not true about that. Is amir khans loss to danny Garcia not a true loss?

Korobov, even in victory, has always looked vulnerable and it was just a matter of time before someone put him down
