Tanaka def should move up to 115. He looked even big at 112 and no damn idea how he made 105 and 108 in the past.
This is one of the reasons why i can't fully get in the tanaka bandwagon though tbf his weight issues seems to be legit.
I've never understood the hype, I've always thought he was very overrated, he'll been smashed to bits when he moves up.
I think Abcede was missing and getting countered. Japanese definitely won because he was doing the cleaner sharper work in there.
Gonzalez is a tough sob. He took some brutal shots to the body and kept getting up. Valiant effort but he simply couldn't stand up to Tanaka's firepower. Not the best performance from the champ but with bad weight cut in mind - a flash knockdown and a few feeling out rounds dropped it's not the worst. Still scored 4 knockdowns and ended the fight with 5 rounds and change left. It's time to move up in weight and see if he can mix it with the the Super Flyweights. Might have agree with his naysayers for the time being that he won't be able to deal with the elite there but damned if it isn't going to be an exciting ride.
It's not hype if you got the results, he's among the elite in the smallest divisions, and even if he's not on Inoue's level he's darn good to watch, what's not to like?
