Overrated by ******ed Hatton fans yes. But overrated not at all. Dude was a stud as an Am. Although he wouldn't be in my HOF as a pro.

Prepare to get abused. You want to have seen the amount of sobbing and sandy vaginas that appeared on here when I dared to suggest that a resume containing Zab Judah as the best win and either Miguel Angel Gonzalez or Sharmba Mitchell as the 2nd best win wasn't an HOF-calibre resume. So I can only imagine what's going to happen to you!

I actually agree with you mate. Whole heartedly. Great and fantastic amateur. But yeah man, his pro career was all that to be honest. He was being looked after by the powers that be I think. His opponants werent all that good tbh. Chavez was a baaad fight. He was shot to **** an I hate to think of a post-cocaine chavez jus getting beaten on.

Good fighter, but his resume is grossly overrated. His signature victory was over Zab Judah, whom everyone claims is **** when they're not gassing up Tszyu's legacy.

Is he a legit HOFer? Yes (because the IBHOF has low standards and there are guys with worse records in). Best 140 lber of his time? Yes. ATG? **** no.

And **** off with the talk about his amateur record. Anytime that people have to bring up the amateurs to make a case for a fighter's legacy, you know that his resume as a pro is weak.

The most undeserving hype job ever will be an American, without doubt.
Theres plenty to choose from but no way is it kostya.

I figured I'd catch hell, but he never fought the very top guys is the point I'm making and he quit against Hatton.

Well, those who watched him at the time thought that he was great. His peers admired his skills and shared that opinion. Pimply-faced kids who got into boxing 3 years ago think that he is the biggest hypejob ever. :think

Well, I'm no kid and I've watched boxing for 20 years. I just never knew what all the buzz about Tsyzu was about.

Then you remember how highly regarded Tszyu was. He is actually underrated these days...nobody considered him an ATG then or now. There are many so-called ATG with absolutely shitty resumes but when they discuss them over at Classic they say that they fought "the best possible opposition" and wax lyrical about their boxing skills.
