One of the most common things Ive ever seen on forums.

A person who is trying to push whatever agenda....

Takes group A's position, and then makes it as if it was group B's, to try and make a point.

I bet someone cant name one poster that 'puts Tsyzu on a pedestal', who also ****s on floyds legacy. Not one.

But what they will do, is try and make it out that these people are everywhere, because they heard one person **** on Floyd, and another one praise Zoo, and then combine them as if it came from the same point of view to then say 'why does Zoo get praise and Mayweather get hate' as if it was from the same group, because of course, Mayweather is such a victim.

    Fallacy central.

As boxing fans it would be great if we simply celebrated achievement and accomplishment but it always has to come down to who they like and hate. They will attempt to deprive a fighter of his ATG All Time top 20 status just cause they don't like him

Let's not mistake Tszyu for being liked as the same thing as being considered great. Tszyu is a solid HOF and among the best to have ever operated at 140, but he isn't an ATG. He also didn't call himself p4p #1 or TBE. No knowledgeable boxing fan is going to think KT could have beat Pryor, Cervantez, or Chavez in their primes. KT's greatness will forever be excluded to 140.

Mayweather is a multi-weight champ and has compared himself to SRR and Ali, so that is definitely going to catch people's attention. He also missed out on a few matches that should have happened (Freitas, Casamayor, KT, Margarito, etc.). Of course Mayweather has haters, but I think everyone knows he is an ATG, but missing out on a couple of key fights (not entirely his fault) leaves a lot of question marks.

And why shouldn't he compare himself to those guys, has he not dominated his era just like they did? And don't for a second try to claim he's faced weak competition

tszyu was the ggg of his time,a feared and respected fighter in amatures who defeated vernon forrest in the world finals.tszyu progressed fast in the pros,11th fight defeated bramble, next top 10 hector lopez, then contender angel hernandez,in his 15th pro fight he won ibf world title by ko-6.he then defended the title 4 times before losing the title to vince phillips in his buster douglas moment.he bounced back by ko-ing 6 former or current world champs in a row,groves,ruelas,hurtado,m.a.gonzalez who gave delahoya hell at 140lbs

it dont compare to floyds but its still excellent.its something like 16 or 18-2 in world class competition. at 140lbs he would have a great chance to beat guys like cotto, pacquiao, although i think it would be 50/50 with cotto and l think pac could take tszyu.he unified titles and beat maybe 11 world champs.his accomplishmentsshould be respected.

Tsyzu isn't an ATG. Doesn't claim to be. Let alone the best ever.

Why criticize a man who's appropriately rated?

true, but tszyu was no joke against anybody.if you fight tszyu no matter who you are in and around his wt division there is a great chance your getting your head knocked off or laid out.he could box and punch.gonzalez gave delahoya fits and tszyu ragg dolled him.

His resume is good, if Mayweather gets credit for beating past prime fighters, why cant Kostya?

No disrespect intended, but I can almost guarantee that if you posed the question of who would win at 140 between Tszyu and all of those names, Tszyu would get a sizable number of votes, especially against Cervantes. I've seen Chavez-Tszyu posted over boxrec and it was nearly 50/50. Pryor would definitely get the nod, however.

Personally, I think Tszyu was a better fighter than all of them, but history shortchanged him (or he did himself) and he never got his shot at the best.

In regards to the question, I think Judah, Mitchell, and Gonzalez were his best wins. Overall, his competition wasn't all that great, but unifying the division, blitzing the best men he fought, and spending half of his career in title fights is notable.

Tszyu ducked all the greats around his weight. Best win probably Judah. That says it all. Got beaten down and stopped by an average Vince Phillips in Tszyu's prime. Massively overrated.
