I'm a big Bud fan, but I see where they're coming from. 1) Bud tends to take a few rounds to figure guys out, but Kostya has really, really good timing along with his power. It's not a good idea to to give him chances to "lock in" with his sniping style. It's tough to make him lose his mark once he's found it 2) The jury is still out on Bud's chin vs great punchers. That doesn't mean it wouldn't hold up, but thus far, we just don't know. Top Rank hasn't really matched him against live punchers. Sometimes people point to the Gamboa fight to knock him, so maybe they're projecting what KT would do in Gamboa's spot, but I don't put a ton of stock in it- Bud was fighting a smaller guy and decided early he could deal with getting hit until he got his own timing down. I wouldn't expect him to fight Kostya the same way, but I think it's a very dangerous fight for Bud even if he pulls out the win.
So what's your point? Your post doesn't negate the fact that guys on here always use the "he was sick" excuse either to deflate some ones victory or excuse one of their hero's poor performances!
I am half joking. I think highly of Crawford. Although I favour tszyu, i don't think it will be a blow out. You have to admit. It rhymes lol
Crawford.....but its not a easy fight. I think the two are very good technicians I just think Crawford has the speed to get off first disrupting Zu's ability to time him...kind of like Zab was doing until he ridiculously backed straight up with his hands down.....
The hype on Crawford is similar to Don Curry in the 80's and Terry Norris in the 90's . Both at one time were rated highly on pound for pound lists and everybody was gushing how they were on their way to number one pound for pound and greatness. Hopefully Crawford avoids their same fate.
