Could not have said it any better. For someone like me that has about twenty Tzsyu fights on DVD, I know what the guy is capable of, the amateur record and power, and dominance that lead to a guy being avoided are similar to GGG.

 

Hey, don't forget that before he lost to Hatton, he was plagued by injuries and can only fight once a year.

 

I guess I would point to the second fight if I was wondering. You know the one where Tzsyu knocked him out way faster. Any other excuses or dumb comments?

 

These ******s don't know, they stare at boxing rec, if I did that I would think Terrible Terry Norris was better than Sugar Ray Leonard.

 

He's not very beatable. He lost one fight to Phillips, who was a badass. After surgeries and getting old he got ****ed over by home cooking in England.

To answer the thread, Cotto can't take KT's shots at 140 OR 147. It would look a lot like the Pacquiao fight.

Well, i don't really know. Tzyu didn't like pressure, i can see he hurting Cotto, but if he doesn't stop him early, i can see Cotto's pressure and body attack breaking Tzyu down

Tszyu got bullied by hatton. Yea, he was old but still....Hatton.


Cotto could be 56 yrs old and he would still not get bullied by hatton.

 

Tszyu was an absolute beast in his prime, but we have to remember that this is a 'Prime-4-Prime' match up, and Cotto on his day had sublime skills, devastating power, fantastic timing and decent speed. Cotto may have been chinny towards the end of his 140 reign, but he had decent powers of recovery and let's be perfectly clear, the man can take one hell of a whooping.

I think it's a fight of the century contender, I think both fighters meet centre ring for 2-3 rounds, both get hurt, both get wobbled, both adopt a more distanced, boxing from range approach until one gets hurt again then they go life and death again. I see a completely 50/50 fight here.

 

Your quite right, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and obviously knows nothing of Kostya Tszyu. To beat the guy you had to throw shots non stop in the way both Hatton and Phillips did, Miguel couldn't throw that many punches in 3 fights.

 

If Tszyu was such a beast in his prime then how did he get battered by Vince Phillips? I love Tszyu but some of you are overrating the hell out of him.
