The 2000 version of Kostya vs. the 1994 version of Randall. This would be an action fight. Kostya would probably come and Randall would look to counter. Kostya was very strong and fast, but he wasn't stronger than even a 1994 Chavez, and I think Randall would be able to hold his ground. The difference would be Randall's straight rigt and superior chin. I think Randall wins by KO around the tenth round.

Its fashionable to pick against Tszyu in any MM matchup, and I wont lie... I pick against him in ALOT of MM's.... but this one I think he might win. Stylewise a prime Tszyu matches up better with Randall then old Chavez did. The reason for this being quickness. The 94 Chavez was begining to get slow as hell, whereas if we're talking about the 99 Tszyu... he was pretty damn quick and would time Randall in alot of instances where old Chavez failed to.

I think he wins a UD over Randall, in a fight where its very possible that BOTH men might hit the deck.

that's good point. Kostya in his prime was very fast, faster than a 1994 Chavez. I just think his vulnerability to the straight right would be his undoing. Throughout his career, he got caught with too many, and against Vince Phllips he was ko'd. And I don't think the 2000 Tszyu was any better than the version that faced Phillips.

2000 Tszyu was better than the 1997 version that come off second best to Phillips.

He was more patient and prepared to break an opponent down (see the Ruelas an Gonzalez fights for example) rather than looking for the early blow out as was his wont prior to the Vince Phillips fight.

Plus I think Tszyu was physically much stronger than Chavez at 140 and punched a fair amount harder.

Randall caught Chavez at the perfect time but prime Tszyu is too much imo.Yeah Randall had the right hand to hurt Kostya but it took a lot to put Tszyu on the mat and the more circumspect 2000 Tszyu was a lot more wary of getting caught with it.

I think Tszyu has a slight lead after 6 but begins to land the heavy artillery and eventually causes Randall to wilt around the 10th via a TKO.

Randall was a good fighter with good combinations and footwork. He would have given Tszyu a really tough fight and I wouldnt be suprised if he beat him.
