Kostya Tszyu: An All Time Great Beast From The East-The Thunder From Down Under.

Konstantin Borisovich Tszyu Born 09/19/1969 5'7 Retired Light Welterweight with a 31-2 25 KO's 2 KO losses Record. Born in Serov, Soviet Union/Russia and relocated to and fought out of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Ring Magazine's Light Welterweight Fighter Of The Decade a member of the International Boxing Hall Of Fame former 4 Time Light Welterweight Champion and Undisputed Light Welterweight Champion. This son of a Mongol-Korean Father and a Russian Mother unified the Light Welterweight Division and should be considered one of the greatest Light Welterweights of all time he took the 0 of Zab Judah by ATG Chicken Dance inducing KO, legitimately stopped the iron chinned albeit old Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. has wins over Sharmba Mitchellx2, Ortay Urkel, Roger Mayweather, Jesse James Leija, Diobelys Hurtado, Jan Piet Bergman, Miguel Angel Gonzalez and many more. He had one of the best and brutal straight rights in the business and was a near mythical creature coming out of the amateurs (he holds a win over Vernon Forrest) and in a move similar to Lomachenko he challenged and took gold by beating Featherweight Champion Juan Laporte in only his fourth professional fight. Unfortunately his mystique was shattered by his KO loss to Vince Phillips, but thankfully he learned from the loss and improved his skillset and became an even more complete fighter that went on the dominate for over a decade in impressive fashion. He was one of the fighters who laid the blueprint for the current invasion from East and if you look closely you can see traces of his style in many a Eastern European fighter. Kostya was a beast unfortunately he couldn't overcome the new guy on the scene in Rickey Hatton but unlike many fighters when they no longer have it they keep on going, Kostya realized his time on the top was up and he gracefully bowed out never to be heard from again.
