Hatton is always a tough style matchup for Tszyu, just like prime Tszyu would have been a nightmare for Floyd. I like Hatton by close decision if Cortez would have refed that fight.

Kostya. People forget how close the Hatton fight was, it was by no means a blowout. If Kostya had fought the last round he had a chance to win, it was that close. (So long as the judges didn't screw him)

He knocked Hatton down with a body shot that was unfairly ruled a low blow, that should've been a 10-8 round right there.

    :deal:good

Not to mention the deliberate low blow that followed that knock down, which should have been another point off.

Tszyu would have come out for sure in the last if he was attributed the knock down or Hatton had a point taken off. Only reason he didn't is because his cornerman knew he had no chance on the cards with Hatton's home (Frank Warren's wally world) ground advantage and that he also knew Tszyu was dehydrated from having to cut that extra bit of weight when he failed to make weight at the first weigh in and didn't want to see him do his body anymore harm.

Tszyu and any fair ref who stops Hatton's hugfests wins!

I think I could beat Hatton with a crooked ref like Cortez.

I agree that Cortez was breaking up the action a bit too soon and unfailry took a point away in the PBF fight.......but, the tactics in the Zoo fight were illegal (at least in Vegas) I am confident that he would have had multiple points taken away against Zoo and maybe even disqualified if that fight was in America.

Wow, that fight pissed me off. I was watching it at an English pub. Almost got my ass whooped. KT would KO Hatton if he was allowed to punch.

Why don't you watch this and see some of the big punches Hatton did take in his stride.

It wasn't ruled anything. Not a slip, a low blow, the ref. just picked Hatton up and didn't even know what to do.

It doesn't have to be quite as pronounced as Cortez's level of activity in breaking up the clinches. But any nonbiased referee who prevented Ricky from holding and other illegal tactics would have made this a completely different fight. Tszyu would have won, had that been the case. There is no doubt in my mind. Even with all of the bull**** that went on, including that sledgehammer to the balls Hatton hit Tszyu with, it was still a competitive fight even with all of that going on.
