What, every single one of them? Comments like this are out of order and shouldn't be allowed here. Don't generalize! WTF is wrong with some of you ESB members?

There are good and bad in all races, all nationalities. I'm English, but some of the most intelligent, interesting, generous, and friendly people I know are Americans who I met online.

Guys, it's 2007. Nationalism and racism should be dead by now, surely?

Dude, I am sick and tired of this ****. I come here for interesting discussion, and rarely do I find anything like it in ANY thread. Every damn day it's the same thing with constant bitching, all threads filled with complete BS that isn't related to the topic.

I apologize for ranting about it ( I just got out of bed :) ) but if people don't mention it then nothing will change. For the sake of a better forum, people need to pack this stupid **** in once and for all.

My post was in reply to the digs TFFP keeps dishing out to Americans. I read one thread, and there he was slating the USA, then I come to this thread and he's doing the same thing. IT'S BORING.

Just as an interesting sidenote...it was Cortez reffing the Tszyu/Mas fight and declared it a NC. It's enjoyable to watch and see if Cortez got it right or if Mas knew he was in for a beatdown and gave up. You decide.

Theses sort of things can never be proven, at best we can speculate. But I always thought that the deck was loded against Tszyu fighting in Manchester. The Officiating didnt do him any good, but if he didnt knock Hatton out, its unlikely he would have won a decision. Tszyu was actually way behind on the score cards...so apparently the judges were ridiculously pro Hatton too. When a crowd is dramatically and loudly in favour of one fighter it gets very hard for Judges and Referees to be impartial. Anyway, in sum, put the fight in the U.S or some neutral place and I believe Tszyu gets a moderate to easy decision. But who knows.

I should say in addition that Hatton deserves credit no matter if he mauled illegally or not. Tszyu is a strong fighter and for Hatton to execute that strategy on the night he had to be skilled, iven if its not a skill that has a lot to do with usual boxing. :p

this isn't germany, we don't fill in the scorecards before the fight starts, but hey, anything to get a cheap dig in.

the scorecards at the time of the stoppage read 104-105, 103-106 and 102-107.

KT.....In the UK (I guess) they are less strict on holding and grappling on the inside. Cortez don't take that ****.....if Hatton wasn't allowed to hold and grapple on the inside when he faced KT, KT wouldn't have taken as much punishement and it would have given KT more opportunities to distance himself and load up on his extraordinary power. He was smothered by Hattons' style which didn't give him opportunities to conter punch, seperate himself from hatton and tee off with his straight right. The ref who is assinged to a fight has a lot to do with the way the fight goes or ends. Hatton won fair and square, but things could have been different given a different ref.

Well one of those score cards is accurate, two show that it would be hard for Tszyu to get a decision in Manchester. Being a Brit though I doubt you have the ability to be impartial.

He once had a quick jab, quick hands in general and used to evade punches. Prime Tszyu in good condition kills Hatton. KO.

i couldn't give two shits about hatton, i'm more of a zoo fan, but even if he had of taken the final round hatton would still rightfully have been up on the scorecards. in order to have won a decision had it gone the whole 12 he would have had to outfight hatton, which he didn't.

    you fail again.

LOL....get the sand out of your tawt you whiney *****. Cortez was suppose to break up clinches fool...this is boxing not a hug-fest! Hatton likes to hold and hit off "HIS" own breaks. It allows him to control his opponets arms and then counter before they can regain control to avoid or launch their own attack....that's how the entire fight with KT went. Hatton definitly won..but to say the ref was being fair would be a bit off considering KT doesn't hold.

Floyd beating hatton had very little to do with the ref.....Floyd is just a better technician and fighter over all. Hatton could have done better if he were allowed to hold all fight, but even when the were actually fighting on the inside (which cortez allowed) Floyd was handling Hatton with ease. It's when Hatton would hold and not throw is when Cortez broke up the fighters. If they were forehead to forehead and letting their hands go Joe didn't break the fighters up.

Same goes to brits who always have something to say about "YANKS" ....it's a lot more coming from Brits crying about US fighters and how they are over rated...I was hearing how Floyd was over rated and how Hatton was gonna prove that....they say the same thing about Jones, Hopkins, Toney and the list goes on and on! Hatton was unporven against the very best...aside from his win over an old and past it KT there were no good wins on his resume...decent YES...Good or Great NO. I'm not saying Hatton isn't a very good fighter b/c he is...he's a good champion as well. He's a very aggressive and relentless pressure fighter and he deserves credit, but to say "Yanks" don't give crdit to british fighters is a laugh....I give credit to ANY fighter who deserves it...they can be Mexican, British, German or American...if they got skills and preform...they get crdit.
