Kostya is a cool bloke!!

didnt realis he came that close to fighting ODH. woulda been a heaps good fight if it came off!

 

While I always liked Kostya and have always ranked him as a very good fighter indeed, I was never quite sold on him. The loss to Phillips is a big stain on his legacy for me personally. I realise Phillips was erratic in his approach to the sweet science and that a rematch may not have made sense considering that you never knew which Phillips was going to show up but none the less a man as dominant as Kostya really should have got that rematch up and going and tried to dispatch Phillips. A shame he never really avenged that defeat.

Absolute class, I have always admired Kostya.

Guys like Mayweather would have picked up that phone mid-interview and tried to look important. He just hung it up and carried on.
