Both were great at 140. They're also two of my favorite fighters...

How do you see this one playing out?:think

I think this a tough one to call, however I chose Tszyu as I feel his power would seriously trouble the shakey chin of Cotto...I could see this as being a war with both landing and countering each other at will

Cotto didn't show anything at 140lbs for me to pick him over peak Tszyu. Cotto's patient approach isn't really something that would offset Tszyu's game, and Tszyu would stop Cotto around the 8th IMO.

I think its abit closer than you think mainly due to Cottos understated power, reflexes, etc.

What would be Tszyus biggest weapon against Cotto?:think

I think if both men start out boxing than it will be competitive for a while, but I think Cotto would be more cautious of Tszyu's power than Tszyu would be of Cotto's, and Kostya was the more accurate puncher. Cotto would be patient in his approach as he usually is, and Kostya would have his space to time Cotto and get full extension on his shots.

Tsyzu's straight right was deadly, and would be his best weapon.

I also see a chance of Cottos bodywork slowing Tszyu down possibly stopping him

How did Tszyu take it to the body?

I haven't seen the Hatton fight.

Its not as though Hatton was constantly at Kostya's body in that fight. He mainly wrestled the fight out of him.

I think Cobra sums it up pretty well..Cotto just didnt do enough or beat the right people at 140 for me the pick him over someone like Tszyu.
All in all I think Kostya's all around durability was quite good, he could take a shot to the head and body. He seemed like the kind of guy you couldnt take out in with one punch.

As much as Kostya's tendecy to fade would come in this, so would Cotto's I believe.
I think more times then not Tszyu stops Cotto in about 6 or 7 rounds...or possibly takes more early rounds, gets a bit winded and scraps it out to a clear decision.

if cotto was a bit smaller and didnt have to drain so much to make 140 and actually made a career out of fighting there rather then doing his best work at 147 ..we'd see definitly how he'd do agianst zoo but as his work at 140 stands now? i just dont see him having enough or doing enough to whoop zoo how ever i dont believe it'd be a stoppage i think it'd go the distance because i dont think zoo did enough either to put cotto away ..it'd take more then one shot at a time you'd really have to maul him to get the win
