Cotto is a bad style for Kostya, its well documented he doesn't respond well under pressure or particularly get as much leverage on his shots.

HOWEVER, under completely fair conditions and at his peak I still like Tszyu to hurt him, and finish him.

Tszyu would have problem with his pressure, but KT would catch him right on the button, and it's OVAH

Zoo was a man at this weight, and Cotto was an up and comer. I still dont know that I favor Zoo though.

cotto was not as durable at 140 as he is at 147. i think kostya knocks him out before the 6th.

Tszyu would kill him at 140 especially with Cotto's poor punch resistance at that weight. Cotto's good but Kostya has him beat in every category including power, timing, accuracy, chin, stamina, handspeed, footwork and was twice the boxer. Cotto only started improving his boxing skills more once they realized he couldn't make 140 anymore and had to face larger opponents at 147.

Cotto would give Zoo hell and win most of the rounds before being hurt and stopped by Zoo late.

Kostya takes this one. I"ve said it before the Margo fight. Cotto was vulnerable at 140 more than at 147 and Tszyu was one terrific boxer, very skilled with a huge punch. No way Cotto takes those.

cotto kills him, cotto would outbox him all night,,, might even stop him late on

If floyd mayweather lost tommorow to mike tyson, people on ESB would be making threads like "floyd vs naseem hamed"

thats a 147..... if tsyu moved up. At 140 its pretty even

Cotto would win most of the rounds clearly :nono

    You sure?

You need to go and watch some of Tszyu's fights.

    Cotto's a great fighter, and i'm a fan.

    But Tszyu's a legend.

    Crzy thread.

    Zoo destroys Cotto.

He was the World amateur Gold medallist and had genuine dynamite in his fists.

Cotto was weight drained and plodded too much.

    No chance.

Tszyu WAS vulnerable to pressure fighters, but Cotto was a bit 'Berto-like' at 140 - a facet that would be brutally exposed.

I don't think Cotto is gung-ho enough just to stick on Tszyu's chest and take the leverage out of the right hand. There are two ways to beat Tszyu....

    1. The Hatton way - get in close and dictate the pace
    2. Get in range, get your shots off and get out of range - most who tried this method spent ten seconds counting stars, only Mayweather could pull it off IMO.

Cotto isn't really the man to do either - but stylewise they are a little bit awkward for each other.
