Cotto was drained and vulnerable at this weight. Tszyu inside the distance.

Tszyu wouldn't have any problems with Cotto's form of pressure. The type of mauling, frantic, rushing in tactic that Hatton used in no way resembles Cotto's methods. Cotto would give Kostya too many chances to get himself caught, and Kostya would gladly oblige. Tyszu TKO Cotto.

People forget it did actually remain quite close on points.

To me its very easy to imagine a prime Tszyu, not in Manchester fighting the crowd, ref and judges beating Hatton, probably having to do it on points.

Hatton always gives him hell though.

And those 3 rounds against Sharmba were his only 3 rounds he had in 28 months prior to Hatton (22 months before Sharmba; 6 months after that before Hatton).

The reason was injuries, which isn't easy to overcome for an aging fighter (when you start as an 8 year old fighting in the Russian amateur system - 25 years in the game is gonna takes it toll!)

Not prime, but I believe he's a lot further removed from prime than Hatton fans will have you believe. He certainly beats him at his peak, or even before the lay-off-due-to-injuries.

    I think the judges had him 5, 3 & 1 in front......

I would have said 2 to be honest, a couple of rounds were pretty close, so take a point off for the shocking low blow and if Tszyu had come out for the 12th and taken it, I would have had it a draw.

The atmosphere at that fight was something I had seldom seen before, the Castillo fight came pretty close as did the Mayweather one.

2 is fair I think, not including any deductions.

I have this fight if anybody wants it - it ain't that easy to get hold of for some reason.

    1-2 Hatton
    3-6 Tszyu
    7-8 Hatton
    9 Even
    10-11 Hatton

    6-4-1 Hatton -1pt for low blow = 106-104 Hatton

Thats hard to tell because Zoo never made the move to 147. They both fought at 140 though.
