how many ppv buys does this fight get if mayweather calls him out? every champ in boxing history has called out a past champion for one last crack.....im just wondering..!
If Mayweather "calls out" Tszyu (not that calling out means much anyway, fights are made with contracts), people will ridicule Floyd for wanting fight a 40+ year old guy who hasn't fought in 5 years. And the PPV sales would reflect what people think of this when it wouldn't do well. Less than the above choices.
I guess it depends when this hypothetical fight would happen. If they were both in their primes, I would guess 1.2 million to 1.5 million.
Tszyu was never a big draw in the states. A few months after unifying the 140 lb. title against Judah, he defended his titles against Tackie in front of a crowd of like a thousand people. He never headlined any PPVs and I don't believe the ratings on Showtime for his fights were anything special either. He was a long-time champion but could only get a big payday by going into hostile territory in Manchester in terms of all those passionate Hatton fans.
I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a small part of me that would love to see it. But it's farrrrr too late and Mayweather would cop more **** than a pig trough
