Platnumfaggotpapi is obviously a new comer to the sport.

There isn't a single sane soul on planet Earth that EVER considered the Canadian punching bag known as Gatti to be better than Tszyu.

In fact, even Gatti's most hardcore fans at that time admitted than Gatti would be in a world of hurt if he fought Tszyu.

The platnum one has no idea what he's talking about, and based on that statement there's NO WAY he was following the sport back in 04-05.

Prior to the hatton bout he was fighting once a year due to constant injuries. Prime Tszyu kills Ricky inside 6 rounds

Yeah.....LOL @ Gatti being considered a better fighter than Tszyu back then.

Tszyu came off a long injury-induced layoff and dominated Shambra Mitchell....which put him at P4P #3 in the Ring's rankings.

Gatti was on a decent run at the time, but no way was he considered the better fighter than Tszyu by the large, large majority of boxing fans.

I laughed when HBO desperately tried to sell Mayweather-Gatti as a real competitive matchup in their preview show.

"What is Mayweather going to do when he realizes Gatti is willing to die in the ring?"- Ron Borges

    Umm...punch him some more?

Mayweather wins a decision over Tszyu.

Tszyu might stun or hurt Mayweather with that accurate, straight, quick right hand (yes it was quick before he got older), but Floyd would adapt and win a clear decision.

Prime Tszyu got hammered by Phillips , and when Hatton beat him he was coming off his second best performance in dispatching Mitchell in 3.

Also regardless of the fighter Hatton was when he fought Pacquiao there is no fighter at light welter who kills Ricky is 6 rounds .

Tszyu fought once a year after unifying, he wanted no part of Mayweather.

Fair call but the phillips lose was a big eye opener for Tszyu and he came back much stronger, both physically and mentally.

Hatton had every advantage going into the fight, a prime KT kills Hatton. That's my 2 cents. Hatton said it himself recently that he caught KT at the perfect time and he stood little chance 3-4 years earlier. I'll dig it up for you when I get off my phone and on a PC.

Ok thanks , but I dont think Tszyu is any less a fighter than say JMM at the same age and was probably 85 - 90% the fighter he was.

I just dont think he was that great to put him up there with Floyd.

Also there was talk of him fighting Oscar at 147 prior to the Phillips loss and that would have been a masacre.

The link isnt working , but thanks anyway.

The above doesnt tell the full story , this tells me that Hatton was eager to prove himself and wanted a fight too soon and 3 years before Hatton would have been 23 / 24 maybe?

More a case of not being ready rather than waiting for a champion to get old.

    Anyway thanks.
