Both retired. Both ATG in their divisions. Who ranks higher in a P4P sense? Who had the better Career?

If you were to ask me, who was the more likeable fighter? Or which fighter had more charisma? Then the answers to those questions would be Kostya Tzyu.

The question is however "Who ranks higher P4P" and "Who had the better Career" and I would have to be smoking something very very very good for me not to say Joe Calzaghe.

Vince Phillips told us all that we need to know about Kostya Tszyu. That, and the Judah win. No rematches.

Kostya of course. If the Hatton fight happened anywhere but England, he would have retired with only 1 loss.

Joe became relevant after schooling a powerfully built, but otherwise unimpressive Jeff Lacy, a one hit wonder, while have twice as many fights and being much more experienced. His claim to fame after that was beating a shadow of Roy Jones and narrowly escaping from Bhop, both of whom managed to floor Joe.

Don't get me wrong, I like Calzaghe a lot. But he was an opportunist and he created a precedent for british fighters to fight low ranked opponents with their adoring crowds in full attendance, defending one belt, instead of seeking out challenges around the globe. I hope Barker doesn't follow in his footsteps after winning a belt.

How the fvck can Joe be an ATG in a division that has only existed since the late 80's, ffs.

Do you even know what ALL TIME means?

Obviously he was a better fighter than KT, but wtf is this ATG garbage?

The knock on Tszyu is that not only was he tko'd by Phillips, he didn't want the rematch. That spoke volumes to me.

I've seen many greats rematch win or lose. Forrest beating Shane the way that he did and taking the rematch. In my book that elevated Shane in my eyes as a tough guy, AND he would later prove that he was as tough as advertised.

Kostya never even tried to make the rematch either. He never rematched Judah because of Judah's pre fight ish talking? Come the **** on. The fans wanted to see it. Turns out that Judah still won fans respect AFTER the chicken dance.

Tszyu was always overrated. Just look at the beating Hatton put on him. Joe by a country mile. Anyone who says Tszyu, knows jack **** about boxing.
