JMM the better p4p, the natural LWW and bigger Tszyu better at that weight and favoured in this match up, imo.
Marquez was definitely a better fighter but he was a little undersized at 135, so 140 & up is a major challenge for him not to mention he was pushing 40 then. Tszyu beats him in a good, tough fight.
This would have been an excellent technical match up. JMM's counterpunching and combinations against Tszyu's sharp punching. Stylistically I think Tszyu would been able to find home with his right hand consistently. His weakness is usually rough, come forward aggressors, which JMM is not. I see Tszyu dropping JMM more than once and winning by decision in a fun scrap.
He showed an exploitable weakness to butting & elbows against Hatton LOL. Despite the fouls, a fantastic fight to watch. I had been saying for three years Tszyu was pushing his luck with age.
