This would be a pretty scintillating war at 140. How does a prime Tszyu handle a young Miguel Cotto who was 27-0 with 22 KOs? Both guys can stop the other but who do you think comes out on top here?
At the time, I probably would've taken Tszyu. Given how their careers played out, Cotto likely would've beaten him, and maybe stopped Tszyu.
Cotto was a little drained at 140lbs and I think it impacted his punch resistance, which would be bad news against a big, sharp puncher like Tszyu.
Nice matchup here. One of those monday morning bouts. Going in hard to predict but after the fight easy to see how the winner got his arm raised. I lean towards Cotto w/ a very shaky vote. Very shaky.
If Cotto makes this a battle on the inside,he could beat Tszyu, but he also had to smother his opponent more often than usual.
Cotto was chinny and drained at 140 I'd pick Tszyu by stoppage quite honestly. Cotto was considerably better at 147 IMO.
Watch Cotto vs Ricardo Torres. Cotto looked vulnerable and I'm not sure that Tszyu let's him off the hook after hurting him.
