How come this fight never happened? they were around at the same time and weight what do you guys think would have happened in this fight?
Tszyu had a freakish right hand, but would he land it on Pea and stop him? I dont think so. Whitaker takes this one.
because KT would only fight people he could beat...and he would rather fight guys like sharmba mitchell not only once but twice
Whitaker was well known to attack the body moreso than trying to potshot. IMO, Tszyu walks through the pot shots and drops the R hand on Peas jaw, or gets to his whiskers with an UC on the inside. Prime for prime, Tszyu is the better man, although Pea did last longer and being an american in the 90s gave him more exposure earlier in his career.:deal
Whitaker's prime was ending up at Welterweight about the same time Tszyu came into his own at 140. They could have fought, but I don't think there was ever any real demand for it to happen.
There was never really any demand for the fight. Tszyu was still on the way up as Whitaker was in decline - he wasn't a viable opponent for Pea in his first reign at 140, and by the time he had re-established himself Pea was no longer a key player at 147. DLH Pea and anything beforehand has too much craft for any version of Tszyu. Tszyu may have got to the 1999 Pea, but if Trinidad couldn't stop him, it's unlikely that Tszyu would either.
:huh Based on what gives you this assumption??? Whitaker would put on a clinic against KT. Whitaker, IMO would be too much for KT.
Whitaker. I absolutely love Tszyu and think he deserves his HOF status, but Whitaker is too damn good. No shame in losing to Sweet Pea.
Sweet Pete would take him comfortably on points, but the Aussie Mongol might put him down late on once in the process, and they're be no corrupt ref to call off the fight this time he got up.
