He’d be in the mix and might reach the top spot, but there’s nothing about his resume to suggest that he’d be a long reigning dominant champion if he fought the top guys.
His son fights the top fighters though. When you need to prop up an injured and/or faded version of Mitchell as your second best win, it says something.
He was a really good boxer puncher. I am not sure of whether any of today’s 140 fighters could beat him. Struggle to envisage it unless Tank went up to 140 to fight him then it would be Cool Vince Phillips all over again.
He would be undisputed with ease. Teofimo would be the toughest test but Kostya would violently knock his ass smooth out As for Kostya vs Twink? That's legal homicide and light work for Tszyu. Not that Twink would ever dare fight him in a million years that is, even with his obligatory stacked deck at a catchweight with a rehydration clause. That fight would be so one-sided and brutal for Twink but to be fair to him it wouldn't last long. Kostya would decapitate him with ease in a few rounds.
nobody at 140 has the seasoning to beat a prime kostya. most arent yet complete, and some just dont have the talent.
Would back Kostya Tszyu against any of the current 140 pounders but some would give him good matches.
Tank is 135 pounds fighter but he is the one from today who could give Tszyu that Cool Vince Philips moments again.
