I don't think so. Hatton would make it very competitive, though.

I wouldn’t say he was guided carefully. When he was coming back, Gonzalez and him were considered the top two. He then took on two southpaws in Mitchell and Judah to unify. He could have asked them to fight each other but in taking out the division one by one and avoiding nobody he got to be the top man.

I would say Cervantes is an all time great. Yes, he had the losses to Benitez and Pryor, but those guys turned out to be very special, and Cervantes was certainly well past his peak when he lost to Pryor. I would add that Randall at his peak was better than Tzyu, but didn't sustain it for more than a year. Peak Tzyu was on a lower level than peak Randall, but sustained his peak level longer. But, yes, overall career wise, Randall, like Tzyu, is not an all time great.

I'm critical of Tszyu, but Hell no. That grappling boozer Hatton would not have beaten a prime Tszyu.

I rate Kostya pretty highly. He gets knocked a lot by folks for losing to Vince Phillips which was a big upset and it certainly looked like he was ill prepared in that fight. Vince was the wrong guy to take lightly.

I remember when Phillps was a top amauter in the mid 80's. Unfortunately he had some personal issues as a pro that really hurt his career but he definitely could fight and was at his best on that night.

Very critical, I'd say. Trust me, KT was a phenomenal amateur and pro. His career is ridiculous.

Also, some of the fantasy fights you post on here are TOP DRAWER, bud! ;-)

Vince Phillips was a very good boxer who if not for a drug problem would have had a great career.
He was an olympian and a top level talent upon turning pro.
People act like it was such a disgrace to loes to a Phillips who was a top level boxer for YEARS.
Yes KT is an all time great. If you rate a fighter in his weight class in the top ten of ALL TIME thats saying something
KT had the power to KO ANYONE.

Vince Phillips had just lost his previous fight before facing Tszyu. And one year earlier, Phillips was absolutely destroyed by Ike Quartey on HBO. Nobody was giving Phillips any chance of winning that fight.

Phillips got wreaked by Ike when noboby wanted a piece of Ike. And at a weightclass higher then Phillips fights at.
Of course KT was favored but it wasnt like Phillips was some club fighter either- he was world class.
