I rate it pretty high...Kostya was quite the prodigy back then. That was nothbing to sneeze at...taking on the indestructable Juan LaPorte.
It speaks to how amazingly advanced he was at that stage. Even with some amateur experience, most young pros with that few fights still look very green and unsure (naturally). He looked very polished and already proven.
Laporte was finished as a top contender by then, but still a very nice win considering Tszyu's pro inexperience. Tszyu, Arbachakov, Grigorian, Nazarov all essentially came into the pro's with little to do to reach their prime.Usually just a case of getting used to the longer distances.
