At the end of the day Jimmie your entitled to your opinion but id like to see PBF fight 15 out 18 of his World Title Fights overseas and not in the USA. I would imagine he wouldnt be undeafeted.
He would have a better chance at a younger age, but even still, the only edge he'd have on Floyd at any point in his career is power, and Floyd could bang at 140, though that obviously wouldn't be his best choice in this fight. I just don't think he was overall skilled enough a boxer to hang with Floyd in that regard, and his only redeeming point from there is his power, which I figure(you obviously disagree) Floyd would be able to figure out by the mid-rounds. Just my opinion, coming from one who was never as impressed with Tszyu, but moreso with a younger Tszyu, as seems to be the one you're favoring.
Yeah but Sweet Pea but Tszyu never had trouble with fast defensive guys. Never. He killed them. I think however PBF wouldnt be able to stop Tszyu from Stalking him down. Yeah PBF can fight of his back foot but if he got lazy or to cocky bang Tszyu will catch him. Tszyu's accurate probably the most accurate we ever seen at 140 all time. PBf is defensive can ajust well but Tszyu does aswell. Close fight for Me it would either go one of two ways. Early night TKO win for Tszyu if he hurts PBF early. Or if it goes late and the fight goes the distance which Tszyu had trouble with PBF would win by a couple of points maybe 3. Thats the way i see it and im a Tszyu fan so by calling that way does that make me a nuthugger.
Doesn't make you a nuthugger, and I'm certainly no Floyd nuthugger, as everyone should know. I just think Floyd was a better boxer than Tszyu, better defensively, capable of exploiting some of Tszyu's openings when stalking Floyd around the ring. He had better variety as a fighter when younger, but still, he was no Duran or anyone like that. I'd give a younger Tszyu a better chance, would be an interesting fight.
I personally think it would be a PBF fight that wouldnt be boring at all. I think it would be very back and forth. And i know some think i am a nuthugger but my job here is to pretect boxers like Tszyu a man that gave us some quality moments and i tell you a actual gem outside the Ring. Mate he holds a Tszyu Crew fight for his fans every year at his gym. Were all his biggest fans go to his gym spar and drink tell stories and go out for tea with Kostya for Tea. He knows all by name im thinking of going to my first next year when i can afford it. He Kostya even wrote a book about all his biggest and most loyal fans from his website. Mate he does this each year. So i have to stick up for the greatest bloke in our sport. I feel it is my job on here in a way.
I've always said and believe that stylistically? Tszyu would give Floyd hell and I'd pick him 2 WIN. tszyu dealt wonderfully with slick defensive fighters and struggled with bigger, physical, inside fighter/bangers. Which is rather odd to me as its harder to face the guy with elite defensive skills. But never the less true with KT. I'll also say PBF knew it as well which is why KY WASNT OLD ENOUGH yet for Floyd As the P4P #1 AT inflated resume Mayweather Jr. said years ago on camera at babbling sqwak. :hey
kostya is a stylistic NIGHTMARE for floyd... the only fighter alive that possibly schools him.. the only way to beat KT is to rough him up on the inside and i cant see floyd wanting to even get close to tszyu let alone inside on him.. wide win for tszyu with a few flashy knockdowns thrown in for good measure..
All these people saying Zoo would KO PBF are fooling themselves PBF has a great chin he took shots from Oscar who at 154 hits much harder than Zoo at 140 and Oscar couldn't stop him but Zoo would?atsch Like Sweet Pea mentioned Zoo started to fall in love with his power and he would be doing just like the rest with power waiting all night to land that big shot on PBF meanwhile PBF is piling up points and winning rounds. PBF is a defensive-counter punching genuis with a great chin he's hard as hell to beat and Zoo wouldn't be the man to do it.
good post imo, would probably lean towards mayweather, although tszyu had the power, accuracy and timing.
Interesting that Hatton beat Tszyu backing him up.....everyone who got KOd was backing up..... Can you imagine Floyd backing Tszyu up?
I fully agree with this post. The fighters that gave Tszyu problems where swarming pressure fighters who didnt let him fight at his own pace. Floyd wouldnt have pressured him and Tszyu would have been given time to work by Floyd. Why does everyone think Floyd only ever fought for the title against Arturo Gatti at 140:huh
You took time to make this post so why did you not take a little more time to get the spelling of your subject matter right?
I seen quite a few actually. The guy is beat in almost every department here. He was better when he was younger but towards the end he fell in love with his power and became a KO artist. That style would not beat PBF.
Because the titleholders at the time were: Kostya Tszyu: Exclusive Showtime fighter. Miguel Cotto: You think Arum would put Cotto in there with Mayweather at that stage in his career? That leaves Arturo Gatti and Vivian Harris. Gatti was a bigger payday and a PPV fight, while Harris lost on the undercard of Mayweather-Gatti.
