Trust me any money he will fight. Just read an article (magazine) that interviewed him. He is still hungry - he wants to go out on a win and is in tip top shape he is training very day still. ppplllleeaazzeee just one more time.... he actually said he would consider fighting Hatton again.
so i think it give zab a chance to avenge a loss and it would gain alot of intrest . although i think this fight should of taken place in 2005
I highly doubt we'll see him back. He said on Australian radio recently that he had lot's on in terms of business. His trainer Lewis told him to retire after Mitchell 2, but stuck with him for the Hatton fight. He said after that fight 'We (tszyu) were an old fighter tonight. I told him won't be in his corner if he wants to fight again.' Sam Soliman, one of his main sparring partners for years, also said Tszyu wasn't the same fighter while training and also mentioned he seemed old and unmotivated. Tszyu also failed to make weight in the Hatton fight on the first try, which for a fitness freak was worrying. The fact he completely ran out of steam by round six was also very concerning. I remember watching the fight thinking 'Tszyu's started to figure Hatton out, but man, is his jaw broken? He's breathing badly from the mouth.' Not long after that I realised he was just completely exhausted and didn't have the stamina to keep Hatton off him. His corner was telling him to keep Hatton away with a stiff jab and throw the right but he wasn't doing it. Hatton's team has already refused a rematch so Hatton is out of the picture. Four or five years back I thought Tszyu was the fighter to beat Mayweather. He's well beyond that now and I wouldn't want to see them in the ring together. Most worrying thing I noticed was his hesitation to throw the right in the Hatton fight. George Foreman commented on this 'Your brain knows it should be throwing the right, but the body doesn't respond.' At 147, a stacked division, he's still dangerous, but fighters would realise that if they smother him for the first three or four dangerous rounds that he'll start to fade after that. He's fought very little in the last three or four years, suffered two serious injuries and he's turning 39. Great fighter, but we won't be seeing him return to the ring is my bet. His best days are behind him.
Totally agree. As much as the true fans have trouble letting go, its for the best he stays reitred. He really is only going to tarnish his legacy by choosing to return.
He should stay retired and i have always thought he should retire and never make a comeback. I mean he spent most of his life in the ring. He doesnt need to prove anything else to me.
" I know where I was at in the fight, I'm not going to fool myself!" Those were the words of Tszyu when he was asked why he chose not to continue when the scorecards were so very close against Ricky Hatton. Those are the words of a very sincere and reasonable man. Imo, Tszyu is not going to make a comeback!
