Kotelnik landed only 20 more punches but was outthrown by 400. What a robbery!

The sad thing is that we are forgetting that this was a great fight we watched tonight.

Actually this fight is the same as Floyd and Castillo, not fought on nearly as high a level, but did Floyd win enough rounds early on to win the fight? I thought he did. Does giving up the first half of a fight then dominating the end give you the victory. I dont think it does. Boxing is scored from a round by round basis.

Floyd was outlanded and outhrown by Castillo. In this instance, Kotelnik barely outlanded Alexander but was outthrown massively.

Both fights were great. I'm going to go out and say it: This was the best card so far this year. No?

That means Alexander had 380 more misses than Kotelnik had punches. You don't think that's a bad thing for Alexander?

The object of the game is not to flash your hands more times.

Everyone knows judges score on activity. Especially against the high guard where the other fighter isnt punching back during the exchanges. When Alexander his landing 5 punch combos on Kotelniks gloves, and there is no answer coming back the judges are gonna score whos fighting.

However if Kotelnik had landed more on Alexander and by a wider margin then just 20 punches, I'd totally agree tht it was Kotelniks fght. But considering that you could easily have Alexander sweeping the firt 4-5 rounds, because he was outlanding and outpacing Kotelnik, the fact that the fight was scored in Alexanders favor is not a robbery.

However I will wach it again to make sure that I wasnt being blinded by favoritism.

Once your connect percentage dips below like ten, you lose any credit you might otherwise get for activity. IMO. :yep

I wasn't scoring the fight but it looked like Kotelnik won to me. Alexander was throwing a lot but not landing. Kotelnik was landing the much cleaner, more effective punches. The compubox numbers are bull****, I think Alexander landed way less than what they said.

Boxing is scored on punches landed and the punches that do more damage. Kotelnik was robbed, that was obvious. Khan will knock Alexander out. Kotelnik knocked Alexander's head back over and over again.

so thowing 200 more punches that dont land means what? if they both say landed 200 punches each and alexanders face is a mess and his triner is yelling at him every round basically saying he is losing...and in AKs corner, everything is gravy and he looks like he just came from the spa......
then obviously piddy pat punches landed shouldnt count the same as ones that make you bleed and snap your head back all night

no. in the castillo fight, you and the usual suspects claimed the even though castillo threw and landed more, floyd had better connect percentage and landed the cleaner shots. in this fight, devon looked to be aiming at the gloves and hit more air than an airplane prop.
