Kotelnik landed only 20 more punches but was outthrown by 400. What a robbery!

What are you talking about??? clean effective punches that land cancel out workrate. It's called counter punching! Workrate is effective if nothing is coming back. Devon was hitting air and gloves.

I really dunno what Lederman was watching, or his method for scoring the fight. Kotelnik's jab was working better, Kotelnik wasn't just hitting Alexander with single shots there were quite a few combinations. Alexander was busier and not much else. Ring control was with Kotelnik, EFFECTIVE aggression was with Kotelnik, Kotelnik landed more punches, and had a higher percentage of shots thrown/landed.

I'm sorry but Kotelnik met all parts of the scoring criteria, so Devon got beat. Kotelnik timed him so easily and effectively. Devon's timing on the other hand was totally ****! he was just throwing, at times hitting air just in the hope that Kotelnik would walk in to something, I had to laugh. Can't believe how wide open Alexander is. I think Khan does a number on Alexander based on that performance.

Also props to Khan on his win over Kotelnik, cos he is some fighter to to go the champs backyard in the US and beat the living daylights out of an overhyped fighter in Alexander.

Kotelnik is back in the mix and that's great for the 140 division. Maybe we need a super 6? Would be great, that will sort out who the man is at light welter.

i dont see how it is a massive robbery. i scored similar to you, first five to devon. i gave last 7 to kotelnik but i can see 2 of the last 7 goin the way of devon. it was a close fight and one i felt kotlenik won. but it werent a robbery.

I also dont see that comparison which people are beginning to bring up to pacquiao-clottey or even amir khan-kotelnik. In those fights the winner outlanded the loser clearly AS WELL as outhrowing them. Sure their connect percentage was down but they also outlanded the other guy. In Mannys case he bossed the fight and in khans case he flat out defended, outlanded and out threw his opponent.

Devon threw more, landed less than kotelnik and also kotelnik pushed most of the rounds. I dont even see why me and other posters are having to explain this but it should be evident who won the fight just by watching it.

you DO get credit for punches thrown if it sums up to "ring generalship" or "effective aggression" BUT neither was the case with Alexander, his punches did not deter nor throw off Kotelnik, they didn't even dictate the pace of the fight.

Alexander, point blank was more aggressive and won the power punching stat and was the champion. To be the champion you have to out perform the champion inwhich Kotelnik did not.

he was aggressive for a grand total of 2 rounds. the rest of the fight he was doing everything he could to keep Kotelnik off him...missing horribly and head-butting his way to a cut over his own eye while he was at it.
