Anyone give Kotelnik a chance? He gave Don king a 5 fight option just to get this fight. He looked good at times against Maidana but bad against Khan. He has a chin but not much power. Better fighter than Urango imo though. I give him a 35% chance and Alexander could be overconfident. Thoughts?

Nope. A raw moving up weight Khan dominated him behind the jab and using straight 1-2s. Plus he's in Alexander's home town.

I don't know why Kotelnik thought it would be a good idea. I doubt he's getting much money out of it either since he's with Don King.

Plus Don King supposedly promised him a rematch with Khan if he beats Alexander :rofl

Kotelnik will surprise those who expect a blowout, Andreas is a skilled, well schooled and experienced former champ who looked a lot worse vs. Khan than he really is, that's what happens when a counterpuncher faces someone who's too fast to counter, but that's unlikely to happen on Saturday. It's an interesting fight because Alexander is getting better with each fight, but he never faced such a highly defensive counterpuncher and he's not exactly a defensive master. So it's very possible that Kotelnik will be able to frustrate Devon early, the question is how far can he keep up a competitive fight before and if Alexander takes over, that is something I'm interested to see. Do I expect an upset? I don't, becuase Andreas is fighting in Devon's hometown and his style is not exactly US judge friendly, and he doesn't have one punch power, so it would take a helluve fight to outfox and outbox his foe to the official win.

Actually I didn't expect Kotelnik to do half as good as he did, he scored a comfortable win then got robbed, it's a lot worse then losing a close competitive bout.
