Kov being Kov

"still in his head" - These wannabe internet psychologists always make me laugh.

 

My point is that fights are not won at the press conferences. You claim that Kovalev is frustrated because Ward is in his head, when you don't know how it feels like to speak a foreign langauge that you haven't mastered in a foreign country to its native speakers. And if you knew the mentality of Russians you would be not surprised if Kovalev acts weird, when he is supposed to talk trash in real life. In Russia the people who have big mouth are considered clowns, they are looked down. Therefore Kovalev is not a natural trash talker. The only reason why Kovalev tries to talk trash is because Duva told him to do so, because first fight was a PPV failure and they need to sell more this time.

 

Kov is shook..and in this game there aint no such thing as half way crooks.

because he was fairly unknown then and didn't have a platform to do so

 

Or because he had no reason to do it. But now he has a reason, he needs to sell the fight to get more money.

 

Well there was no fight to sell with Adonis that was just bad mouthing (not that he didnt deserve it) you cant pick and choose.

Personally i dont care, I dont watch Kov for what he says out the ring but for what does in it.

When the fight with Stevenson was talked about, Kovalev was already signed to Duva. That's my point, Kovalev is told by Duva how to act to gain publicity in America. But like I said, trash talking is not natural for Kovalev and he doesn't have the vocabulary to do it well in English, so that must be frustrating for him.
