Here we are. Face to face and once again, Kov is the first to look away. Kov is emotional. Kov still questions his manhood. Starts talking crap when walking away. I didn't hear what he said but from what I got from the translator, the guy didn't even talk **** while he spoke in Russian. Can we please have someone translate what Kov said please. My verdict is Andre is still in his head. Time will tell and thanks in advance. This content is protected
The point is where the **** talk? Why did it seem Kov was triggered after the stare down? I think Ward put it best. Who are these people trying to convince? Ward was unphased as Kov was stepping away trying to talk ****. It's pretty simple. Kov is loud when on Twitter and other platforms. As Ward predicted, quiet with a little side handed comment while backing up. As far as the Russian. Why? Kov seems he can "talk" **** fine. Now he's speaking in Russian. And if what the translator said is indeed what Kov said. He seems content he has the popularity vote but we all know that's not the vote that counts. I'm predicting it right now. L number 2 for the emotional Kov.
My point is that fights are not won at the press conferences. You claim that Kovalev is frustrated because Ward is in his head, when you don't know how it feels like to speak a foreign langauge that you haven't mastered in a foreign country to its native speakers. And if you knew the mentality of Russians you would be not surprised if Kovalev acts weird, when he is supposed to talk trash in real life. In Russia the people who have big mouth are considered clowns, they are looked down. Therefore Kovalev is not a natural trash talker. The only reason why Kovalev tries to talk trash is because Duva told him to do so, because first fight was a PPV failure and they need to sell more this time.
Which was Wards point when he said don't get beat before the fight. Kov does has a loud mouth byw and it's not Duva telling him to open it.
Or because he had no reason to do it. But now he has a reason, he needs to sell the fight to get more money.
Well there was no fight to sell with Adonis that was just bad mouthing (not that he didnt deserve it) you cant pick and choose. Personally i dont care, I dont watch Kov for what he says out the ring but for what does in it.
When the fight with Stevenson was talked about, Kovalev was already signed to Duva. That's my point, Kovalev is told by Duva how to act to gain publicity in America. But like I said, trash talking is not natural for Kovalev and he doesn't have the vocabulary to do it well in English, so that must be frustrating for him.
