Ward had a good round and right hand before the stoppage. 23rd was Infact having hus best round but at least 2 of the 3 punches where low.

Now it was a good fight I had Kovalev up by 3 but with Ward coming on but that was a bull**** stoppage firstly from the low blows and then the very poor referee stoppage?

What about when Ward hit Kovalev low and Ward stopped for sec expecting Weeks to step in but no Weeks smirked and signalled to keep fighting even though it was right on the balls.American refs are the worse incompetent refs in boxing.

You really can't see if it was low. I couldn't.

That shot was 100% legalon the belt line, exactly the place weeks indicated as legal at the start of the fight. see link below

There was a low blow, but it doesn't matter. lol that's an oxymoron. There's a reason it's an illegal punch.

But it is what it is. The establishment got what it wanted. Kov gets X out of the division. Just like that.

Kov was losing the fight. And nobody had a problem with Maidana landing low and Weeks ignoring Floyd's pleas to keep them up. Floyd fought on. Kov wasn't getting hit in the balls. And Kov had his trunks up. Weeks said the belt line punches were good for both fighters whose trunks were both up before round 1.

    A single swallow doesn't mean it's spring.

Kovalev was still in the fight and he'd been leading fairly handily up till then.

I do agree that Ward was as strong as ever and that Kovalev had slowed down since the first four or five rounds. But it's hardly as though he was out of it.

This stoppage is annoying as hell because I was looking forward to a clean finish. I agree that Ward could well have stopped SK. So be it, if that was to be. Fcking stupid ref needed to do his job. That was a GOOD fight, by both men.

Floyd was bitching because he was actually in a fight for once.

This fight was close but the punches that finished the fight after the excellent right hand that Ward landed was low.

A fight for once? Maidana landed on the belt and low. Floyd has been in many fights before Maidana. Many. Maidana wasn't landing clean every time he went to the body. All you have are excuses. A bunch of lame excuses.

Ward landed quite a few punches on the bladder. Not quite in the nuts but I'm not sure how fair that is, either. My point remains, however. Kovalev should have NUT SHOTTED HIM BACK if he felt the ref wasn't doing his job. SK actually did some good body work on Ward this time. I have to give Ward credit for taking those body shots without a problem ... his conditioning was spot on.

Lets face the facts here after ward landed that HUGE right hand, it was GAME OVER, that was clear to anybody, He was out on his feet ready to go

The two low shots that kovalev complained about PRIOR TO THAT RIGHT HAND where the one in the picture i linked before and again below, That is clearly on the belt line in the place weeks told both fighters was legal at the start of the fight.

    http://imgur.com/a/r118A

The previous low shot kovalev complained about was in the in the linked video, "yes it was low" but look how light of a tap that is! that was nothing, kovalev cried wolf, that was a baby tap it had zero effect!

    This content is protected

Ward rocked him with that massive right hand FAIR AND SQUARE, it was not the result of the effect of any dam low blows! and that right hand was the beginning of the end. Kovalev was done that was obvious to anybody.

Now the stoppage was controversial, and the final shots were low, My reason for saying its now irrelevant is because you seen the state of kovalev before the final few shots, HE WAS ALREADY OUT ON HIS FEET, GASSED,EXHAUSTED, he was about to get knocked out REGARDLESS. People need to stop acting like if he hand't landed that final shot low, kovavel would have survived. It was clear that he would not have made it out that round regardless where the shots landed.
