The fight needs to be made. There is nothing bigger at the higher weight classes. Both have exploded outta nowhere this year and between them have ripped up the established LHW rankings.

Was thinking the same thing. Right now, Kovalev is so impressive, most can't seem to fathom Stevenson even having a chance just like most just assumed Matty starches Garcia. I would not be surprised if Stevenson pulled it out. He's a better mover, has slightly faster hands and can counter. So he's the superior boxer. Kovalev, as devastating as he is, is slower and i think can be outboxed assuming a fighter has the right type of skills to do so. Maybe it's Adonis, maybe not. But yeah, i also get the Matty/Garcia vibe.

 

Same sermon I've been preaching but you know they ain't listening. I think Adonis will knock him out.

 

I would still favor Kovalev but i just think people are giving Stevenson no respect.

Stevenson has faster hands, moves better and is harder to hit than Kovalev.

Therefore on paper Stevenson could rightly be favoured, in actuality its still going to be a toss up.
