They had the framework in place for Krusher v superman after their next fights long before Sho came along but didn't seal the deal. However, Al Haymon saw an opening and the rest is history. HBO left the door open a crack, Sho busted the door open and not only KOed HBO's big fight but created a mini tourney in the division. It was sheer brilliance to be honest.

Kov will become a star soon enough and fighters will be lining up to get a shot when he has solidified his position as a major draw. If he were smart he would sign with Haymon

with Duva. She'll keep him busy and paid well, ala Adamek, and
the big fight will come. Ward will be justified to move up to fight
Kov in 12-15 months time when the fight has built value. Adonis
is a flash in the pan anyway. He's a 1 hit wonder with a damaged
Chad dawson and he'll be exposed soon. I'd not be surprised to see
him KO'd by the beef jerky necked pole.

 

I am pretty sure 2mill is more than 1mill(or whatever is significant less that Sho's offer). I am also pretty sure a tournement will give him far more exposure than a fight with Kov right now. Why not go on and beat old man Bhop who has limited time in the sport and go on and fight Kov when he has more drawing power? Right now it sucks for Kov but to me this makes complete sense and for anyone who does not let their emotions rule their heads it makes sense too

Duva was the only one who took a chance at the time but that doesn't mean Kathy has done a great job. Kov is on the verge of becoming a mega star but main event does have the ability to take him to the next level.

all haymons fighters get paid very well and I cannot remember any fighter saying a bad word about him
